ARTIST STATEMENT
Most objects, books included, can live again with a new purpose, long after they might otherwise be discarded. These works honor and liberate books from the shackles of our expectations of them as simply vessels for information. The beauty of books as art reflects the beauty of books in our lives.

Every book and book image in this exhibit was folded, bent, stapled, glued, torn, ripped, stacked, pleated, cut, braided, drawn, painted, framed, weaved, curled, rolled, taped, pushed, lifted, packed or measured by the artist.
